Jovaril the Chaotic Good Elf: A Mischief-Maker with a Heart of Gold

Jovaril's upbringing was one of privilege and opportunity, with both parents taking an active role in his education. By day, they were well regarded, high-ranking nobles, but by night, they led a secret life. During the meetings they held to plan their coup, Jovaril would use the skills he learned from them to sneak out of the city and explore the surrounding areas of the Feywild. It was during one of these explorations that he befriended a gossamer-winged fairie named Sunbeam. Their paths would often cross, and together they wandered the enchanting forests.

When unrest spread throughout Telardon, with high-ranking officials mysteriously disappearing, Jovaril's parents were ultimately caught and charged as the leaders of the attempted coup. Despite his innocence and lack of knowledge about their actions, Jovaril was suspected of involvement due to his training. In a desperate bid to escape the authorities, Jovaril utilized his knowledge of the secret paths to sneak out of the city and found refuge in the surrounding forest. It was there that Sunbeam, revealing herself as the archfey Titania, the Summer Queen of the Feywild, aided him. After helping him fake his own death, Titania guided him to a portal leading from the Feywaild to Krusera. From the town of Treecliff, near the portal, Jovaril began a life of constant movement, utilizing his skills to survive and evading any potential pursuers.

Jovaril's journey took him through various towns and settlements, where he encountered new challenges and formed connections with people along the way. His experiences shaped his perspective on trust. Though he prefers making new friends, he remains cautious and slow to trust, believing that those who appear fair often hide the deepest secrets.

Motivated by a strong sense of justice, Jovaril follows his own personal code. He steals from the wealthy to assist those in need, embodying the belief that the low should be lifted up while the high and mighty are to be brought down. His aim is to counterbalance the heinous deeds of his parents by bringing goodness into the world.

Jovaril's complexity of character is what makes him so engaging. He's a mischief-maker at heart, but he also has a strong sense of justice. He wants to make the world a better place, and he does so through his unique combination of magic, stealth, and humor. He's not afraid to break the rules to achieve his goals, but he always has the greater good in mind. Jovaril's cautious nature leads him to be overly prepared for any situation, even to the chagrin of his adventuring group. He has a tendency to meticulously plan and ensure he is ready for any challenge that lies ahead.

The Power of Resilience: Edward's Quest for Meaning and Adventure

In the small farming and fishing village of Cliffside Mines, there lived a young boy named Edward. Born the only child to a loving family of carpenters in a tiny town that was mainly farming-based, Edward's upbringing instilled in him a passion for craftsmanship and an unrelenting desire to learn and understand everything around him. However, his peaceful childhood was abruptly interrupted when his hometown was attacked by a roving band of marauders because there existed a recently discovered mythril mine. Determined to protect his village, twelve-year-old Edward ran for the guardian of the town, the Dragon Calypso, and fervently prayed for divine intervention.

Edward woke up several hours later amidst the ruins of his town, a burning wreck surrounded by the half-burned corpses of townsfolk and marauders alike. The devastating sight left him both confused and disoriented. Gathering whatever he could salvage from the wreckage, Edward set off on a journey in search of a purpose that would guide him forward.

Even at a young age, Edward had a particular fondness for winged creatures and small animals. Bluebirds, butterflies, robins, sparrows, ponies, kittens, and puppies held a special place in his heart, bringing him joy and reminding him of the beauty in the world. His optimism, open nature, and friendly disposition drew people to him, but being young, he often ignored warnings, although he did take sensible precautions along the way.

Edward's upbringing as a carpenter's son shaped his mindset. He believed that anything worth doing was worth doing right, as he was a natural perfectionist. His curiosity drove him to understand how things worked and what made people tick. With his hands always willing to get dirty, Edward embraced the value of hard work and the satisfaction of creating something with his own hands. He carried a belief that if everyone pitched in, the ship would never sink, emphasizing the importance of collective effort.

Edward's quest for purpose leads him to repair broken things, both in the physical world and within himself. He believes in redemption through restoring what was broken, and his inclination to never throw something away stems from his belief that anything could prove useful again.

Unveiling the Beauty Within: The Story of Cherish, the fashionable Tiefling Alchemist

Cherish's journey began with an apprenticeship under a renowned Dwarven alchemist, Sai Ezra. Ezra, a mentor and confidant, imparted their vast knowledge of alchemy to Cherish. Under their tutelage, Cherish honed her skills, specializing in cosmetics, and created a groundbreaking setting spray that rendered makeup completely waterproof and smudge-proof.

With her apprenticeship over, Cherish joined the alchemist guild in Northdark Wharf. For ten successful years, she thrived in her bustling practice, satisfying customers' desires for beauty and transformation. However, the peaceful facade shattered when the Shadow Blades, a notorious gang, began violently pressuring local alchemists to create illegal materials for them. Determined not to succumb to their demands, Cherish decided to take a leap of faith.

Fueled by a thirst for adventure and the desire to establish a safer business elsewhere, Cherish embarked on a journey, aiming to collect rare materials and learn from alchemists in new areas. She traveled alongside another adventuring crew for a few weeks before parting ways in Rodenya. It is here that Cherish encounters the current group, and her path intertwines with theirs.

Cherish's upbeat and practical demeanor offers a refreshing perspective on the world, though her pragmatic businesswoman side occasionally surfaces. She extends her artistic talents beyond alchemy, always offering makeovers to those in need.

Behind her sweet exterior, the tiefling alchemist possesses a darker side, partly attributed to her devil bloodline, but it never overshadows her genuine care for others. Despite occasionally slipping in her choice of words and displaying curiosity bordering on intrusiveness, Cherish's charm is irresistible. She frequently changes her hair color, using it as a canvas to showcase her skills and advertise her wares.

Unbeknownst to many, Cherish is older than she appears, a testament to her alchemical prowess. She adorns herself in fashionable, brightly colored robes and dresses, but she possesses a dark cloak for moments that demand stealth. Unfortunately, her fashion-forward choices cannot compensate for her poor long-distance vision, which she has ignored for years. However, this doesn’t stop her from spotting clues a mile away and tying even the smallest threads together.

From Exile to Adventure: The Journey of Cassus, The Red Dragonkin

Cassus was born and raised in Ponssanache, Posu for short, a city nestled among the area of Rocky Ridge. Being the offspring of the most powerful red dragon in the region, his family once ruled this province, but they were deposed after an invasion by the agents of a powerful dragon named Serynosk. During the attack, the young dragonkin was forced to escape alone, leaving family and friends behind in the flames of the burning city. Cassus fled into the northwest and traveled across Western Othilium, passing through the Fortune Valley,  eventually reaching New Meadow Harbor, where he has remained in self-imposed exile for the past decade.  Though thoughts of his home and how it currently fares do cross his mind, he tells himself that some questions are better left unanswered.  And he is a good enough liar that he sometimes even believes this.

Cassus believes in the concept of hard work…for others; it’s just for him. Instead he prefers to use flattery and manipulation to convince others to do his work for him. You might find him saying: “Why work yourself when there is someone else perfectly capable nearby?”  These days Cassus finds himself lying constantly, even about matters of no import, often leading to confusing situations with any who spend more than a passing day with him as his stories begin to contradict. Despite this, he has a natural charm and charisma that allows him to make friends…and enemies with ease. During his travels he has come across various items, but none more useful than his chewing gum, a woody resin that he won gambling during one of his signature nights out. This gum has an arcane property that allows him to magically Charm Person as well as granting him a temporary boost to his charisma, making him even more likable and persuasive.

Cassus has a taste for the finer things and prefers to live in luxury befitting of his birthright.  Unfortunately these days, this preference often lands him with debts to settle and little money to pay up. However, this never worries him too much, money is supposed to be spent and the next scheme, hustle, or occasionally even job is just around the corner.  This attitude, combined with his distaste for telling the truth has kept him living a transient and somewhat aloof lifestyle since his exile began.

Despite his quirky personality, Cassus is a gifted sorcerer with the blood of red dragons coursing in his veins. Trained from a young age to harness his ability, it quickly became apparent that his inherited gift was stronger than most.  His magical prowess was impressive, and in the realm of fire sorcery he was unmatched amongst his peers.  Though his magical growth waned after fleeing Posu, it remains to be seen what heights his power could reach if the need arose.
